We act for people detained under the Mental Health Act 1983, representing them at Hospital Managers’ Meetings and Mental Health Review Tribunals.

We can advise both patients and their relatives of their rights under the Mental Health Act 1983.

We deal with applications to the Court of Protection for the appointment of a Receiver to enable a person’s financial affairs to be managed in circumstances where they lose the mental capacity to do so themselves.
